Wow! This was fun except for a 'bump' with blogger upload.
I really just had a lot of fun with this photo.
I must also, include that this picture is from a photo supplied by Leslie Hawes.
The fruit is called a Sunquat, a cross between a kumquat and a lemon. I really enjoyed the
abstract handling I did and enjoyed all the CP involved.
Thank-you so much!

Very abstract. The colours work so well together and give a real punch to this piece.
Thank-you so much Jeanette! I appreciate the comments. I was so happy doing this piece.

Love all the colours! This holds my attention really well because of all the abstract shapes. :)
Sherrie,
I love how bright your colors are! It changes the whole feel of the image. To me your image feels like a true celebration of the sum and summer. Nicely done!
I love the bright colors and abstract quality.
Love your interpretation of this subject: abstract, bright, happy! Thanks for sharing!
Hi Sherrie,
This looks like it was a lot of fun! Isn't it wonderful to see all the different interpretations! Well done!
Wonderful colors. Looks almost like a crazy quilt block.
Do you ever watch HGTV? This reminds me a great deal of some of the art prints that I have seen designers use as accents to bring color out in a room. I like this. I look forward to seeing more entries from you in the Virtual Sketch Date.
I thank-you all for the wonderful comments. Jennifer Rose, Stacy, Sydney Harper,Rhonda, Paulette, Jeanneg, and Michael. I am humbled by your comments. It was just such a fun piece to do. A special thanks to Leslie Hawes for the Photogragh.

I see a quilt! love the abstract too!
Just great--I love how you interpreted this is a very personal, unique way. The riot of colors is so exuberant!
It does look like you had a lot of fun with it! I am certainly having a lot of fun looking at it! :)
That's it. You did it. Now I'm going to have to push myself next month to do something more abstract or impressionistic. (Thanks for that nudge, by the way.) I seem to be "stuck" in realism and photorealism. :)
Hi Quilt Knit,
You are welcome for the photo. What a great piece of art you made using it!
I just love all the color!
Hasn't this been fun to see how every person approached this sketch differently?
Hope you do next month, too.
I want to thank all of you again, who have posted such wonderful comments. Shicat!, Laura, Kylie, Leslie! A quilt? It does have that flavor. Laura, you are right! I wanted the work to be personal, even if I failed in my own eyes. Kylie, always push the Envelope! I like doing photorealism, with my camera. I like realism, especially for a flower arrangement. I just want more, ME!

I love how you have so much going on there in the background, and yet the sunquats jump forward! They are not lost...well done.
