No, Diana, it is not a quilt yet. Hold on! This is my VSD -Virtual Sketch Day - Sketch of a photo that I took, at the Old South Church in Boston, MA.

I will bring the photos to the top, right under the sketch.

Yes, I am looking to make this into a lap or Hanging wall quilt. I think I am going to purchases pieces and then draw with fabric pens on top and of course colored threads. A wonderful winter project.
I will start the posting of quilt development Saturday Night.

Sherrie,

This is lovely. The colors are entrancing, as are your multitude of lines/curves. You also have achieved depth in there as well, nicely done. You shouldn't worry about "taking anything from anyone else", go ahead and post your VSD entry on the day - people want to see it.

I'm so glad that VSD has been an encouragement to you, I think the same is true for many people.

This was worth waiting for! I'm so glad I linked back to your page after reading your comment on the VSD page for September. Your photo was great - challenging and fun, and your painting even better. It Like ribbons and threads of colour.

Diana, Rose Welty and Vivienne: Thank- you so much for coming back to my blog and commenting on my own version of my photo. I was very intimidated by my own photo. I little scared of all the wonderful talent that dove in. I thought I might sink and not be able to surface.
Keep up your wonderful artistic work.

Oh! you are a Jewel! Thank-you so much! I cherish using your picture in my collage.

Your comments Humble me. Yes, it is all Primacolor Pencils. No Water, No markers.
Just Colored Pencils. I am still working on the Grayscale. I hope I have it finished tomorrow. Of course I am working on this Months Sketch and I have to have it ready. "Star Cabbage" has just had wrapped around His leaves from the first time I saw him in the garden.

This is fabulous, Sherrie!! Wow! Did you ever consider framing this drawing?? I think it would look stunning in a frame!! Then, when you make your quilt you'll have companion pieces that complement each other.

Oh yes! I am definitely going to frame this piece. I know it is silly, to most people. I became attached to "Star Cabbage". He and is family have gone where all plant life goes. I have been promised the family will reappear in the Spring. It will be hard to see one like "Star Cabbage" again. Somethings in all walks of life are just special. I was looking at fabric yesterday. There is going to be a lot of embroidery.
