Here is my Friday Blind Contour Drawing. This time I used my Sanford Mechanical Pencils.
It is a very famous or well know House out West.

Hi Sherrie, I LIKE the design of your blind contour drawings of the black wings. It's funny how we get attached to a certain kind of pencil. I like my Faber Castell 9000 series; the pencils are smooth and feel good on paper. I suppose it's the tactile quality that makes the choice so personal.
Your drawings are wonderful and sorry I missed last weeks! Thank you for playing! Peggy
No, Njburk, You do not close your eyes. You look at the composition to be drawn. Then you draw the outline without looking at your paper. You use your fingers and pencil to guide your hand that is drawing. I do not do a lot of contol of position of the pencil. I start and try to freely draw the composition. I do not like to be contained by rules of composition with Blind Contour.

So, since I'm not a sketcher--but I like to make projects using sketches--do you close your eyes to do the blind ones? What a concept!
Hugs, N
